How To Create ByBit API Keys
In this article, we’ll show you how to generate ByBit API keys with the correct permissions to connect to your Lighthouse crypto trading bots safely and securely.
Step 1: After logging in, navigate to the Lighthouse 'Exchange Accounts' page and select “Add Account”
Step 2: From the list of exchange connections select ByBit
Step 3: Open Bybit and hover on the “Profile” icon
Step 4: Click “API”
Step 5: Click “Create New Key”
Step 6: Select “System-generated API keys”
Step 7: Configure the API
Configure trading permissions for the Bybit API. Make sure to enable “Unified Trading" and the sub options "Orders", "Positions", and "USDC Derivatives Trading".
Once you’re done click “Submit”.
Step 8: Copy your new ByBit API keys and paste them into Lighthouse Quant
Copy the newly generated ByBit API keys to your clipboard and then paste them on Lighthouse Quant, one by one.
Step 9: Click “Add Account” and you’re done!
Your ByBit crypto exchange API keys will now be stored permanently in your Lighthouse Quant account until you decide to update or remove them.
For the foreseeable future, any bots you set up to trade on ByBit will require no additional API key configuration.
